Service Description
CASA of Western Maryland trains and supervises volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates, also known as Guardians ad Litem, who advocate for children in Washington County who have been deemed a Child in Need of Assistance by the courts. Volunteers work closely with DHS Social Services, teachers, and family members to investigate each child's situation and inform the judge of what is in the child's best interest.
